I have a 2004 XB12S which I rode all day Saturday. Sunday morning when I started riding it, it sounded different. The exhaust note has a different pitch & it's slightly louder. Not only that but the low end power is drastically down. Any ideas on the issue or how to diagnose it? Thanks |

Did you check for an exhaust leak? Also have you changed anything lately. |

Haven't changed anything at all. Did check underneath exhaust to see if anything had punctured it (no holes) Could it be header gaskets or some extremely small exhaust leak? Would that make such a drastic difference in performance? |

Yes I meant exhaust gaskets. Also drastic is quite different to many people. I just mentioned this as one thing to check first. Especially with the sound and low end issue combined. |

I'd put my money on your exhaust valve is stuck open. |

Froggy, he only has 2 posts, I'll bet he didn't know you were referring to the butterfly valve in the exhaust muffler! Husky |
