I have an oil leak that is coming from the clutch cable behind the accordion boot. It seems to happen when the bike is warm. I've already tried to pull any kink out of the transmission vent line but the problem is still there. What could be causing this? |

As in, oil coming out of the cable, traveling up from the primary case? Maybe remove the vent line and blow it out with some compressed air. Maybe ya got a critter up in there. I can't remember off hand if it can be readily removed from the case. Have you lubed the cable as of late? |

Yea oil is going up the clutch cable and coming out the fittings. Tomorrow I'm gonna try to figure out how to disconnect it from the engine and blow through it. can I just open up the inspection cover and blow through the line...the top part thats near the fan? That way I don't have to take anything off besides 2 screws. No I haven't lubed the cable at all in over a year....yea I know its bad but its the truth haha |

Well.........the cable is lubed now! I have no idea if the hose comes off under the inspection cover or not. My scoot isn't readily available to look at, and neither is my service manual. Sorry I cant help any more. Lets see if anyone else chimes in. |

"yes you can remove the trans vent line it is under the starter i would not blow air in the top back in the trans if some thing is in there it will end up in the trans not good" Good point. I didn't think about that. How would you suggest getting the vent line off the of transmission? I really don't want to cut the line as it is barely long enough to reach it as it already is. |
