This may become a little long so I apologize now.

I have a 04 Blast that I just replaced the piston and cylinder (the engine blew up). After reassembly I replaced the spark plug, air filter, all fluids, the boot, and rebuilt the carb. It started without an issue.

First ride I took was about 1 hour and ~20 miles and had no issues. Then I rode it from my friends garage to my house. It was quite cold, 40s/50s. About 2 miles in the bike died as if it ran out of gas. After a few minutes it started no problem. After another 2 miles same thing. Then it started and I rode the remaining 15 miles to my house without problems.

I took it for another ride on a warmer day (60s) for ~1.5 hours and 40 miles. Ran great until 25 miles in. It died in the same fashion as before. I headed home and it died more 4 times.

I am not sure where to start. The boot, spark plug, and carb are all new. I am certain that reassembly is correct. Thoughts???

Check your regulator, wires to your regulator, and your stator.

I checked the gas tank vent and could not blow through it. It was zip-tied to the frame and i think it was a little too tight. Atfer I removed the Ziptie I could blow through it. Now I just need a day without heavy rain to see if it did the job.

Thanks
