I currently have PM rims on my bike and I have a set of stock rims I purchased awhile ago. I am planning on polishing and chroming the stock rims. However I am thinking that they had a different spacer or something. 1. Anyone know for sure, and if so does anyone got one they want to get rid of? 2. Are there any other parts I need to pick up? 3. Anything else I should upgrade while I am preping the rims or any tricks that would be helpful? Thanks |

There's something different with the rear rotor. Maybe an additional part on the PMs that you don't need for the standard wheel? I'll try to take a look tonight when I get home. |

PM wheels require a locknut for the rear rotor. Stock wheels do not, they bolt right to the wheel. Other than that difference, nothing afaik. |

Sweet, I'm not the only one who thinks cast wheels look better than PM! AFAIK, the only mounting difference is the rear rotor. You can easily move the rotor from your PM to cast wheel. The extra "carrier" piece that the PM wheel has can stay. It's not used on the cast wheel. You probably already know this, but the PM rear is 5.5" wide and the cast is 5". Manual calls for a 180 on the PM, 170 on the cast. |

well, I have an extra rear disc, but I am thinking I may find another pulley. I think the stock wheels polished or chromed look way better then the PM's. |

Yea whether early or later the PM's use a spacer/collar with a 6 bolt pattern. They usually come with them. |

I traded my PM's off of my S2 for white regular Buell Wheels. they look good with the red bodywork and white frame. Basically fit right up. Traded some wheels on my97 m2 once. The earlier buells had the speedo on the front wheel, while the newer ones is on the motor. This will cause you some work |
