i know that some others have talked about stalling issues on here but i don't recall ever seeing a resolution (not that all would be the same) this is the 3rd time i have had the bike into the shop for stalling when hot. it mostly happens when sitting at a stop light but has happened while i was moving. i went through, as suggested last time, and checked all of my main elec connections, fuel pump, battery connections, various grounds etc, all seemed to be ok. when the bikes dies it like someone reached over and shut the kill switch off, it never sputters or misses, just dies. when this happens it is on days above 80*F, after i let it sit for about 20mins she fires right back up and away i go until the next stop light. im getting kind of frustrated mainly because i have been seeing a new girl and this last time it happened with her on the back and we about got rear ended because it decided to die in the middle of an intersection. needless to say she is skeptical to get back on it (don't really blame her hahahaha). any suggestions would be a great help as i have little faith in the dealer being that i have brought it to them 3 time now for this, and im preparing to just take care of this myself. |

I would call H-D customer service. You might even do it while at the dealer. |

I had been stalling while down shifting (usually 2nd to 1st). This problem resolved itself when I added more clutch fluid to the reservoir. Now I just have to solve the problem of...where is my clutch fluid leaking from? |

Josh, I've experienced the stalling at a stop on the oem and ebr ecms with both the 1125s I have here. It seems to only happen when the intake air temps are high around 140F. I plan on waiting until next season when its hot again to acquire the tuning software so I can data log and see whats happening prior to the stall assuming its a tune issue and not some overlooked software or hardware glitch the ECM has. |

well after several phone calls back and forth with the dealer i finally talked them through on how to get it to stall out. once they confirmed the issue the tech found my fuel pressure sensor is bad. im a bit skeptical of this being the problem because most of the time when a sensor fails it is done, not an intermittent problem, unless the sensor is going out of range or some other odd thing. im not going to argue with them over it, they work on these a lot more then i have, but i will sure be testing it. oh and i should have the bike back by Thursday. |
