That's my new RPM theory for the CR. I was out beating the crap out of it all afternoon - it LOVED it, by the way! - and noticed it behaved the best if I took whatever RPM I would have been in if I was on an aircooled Buell...and doubled it. If I was in an area where I'd be 3k-4k RPM on the Uly or one of the tubers...keeping the CR between 6k-8k was perfect. Power was the twitch of a wrist muscle away; engine braking was right where I needed it; the bike's vibes settled down and it was just silky smooth; turns were swallowed with ease and straightaways simply disappeared into the mirrors. All this, by the way, on a bone-stock '09 CR with 152 flash. | ||

I'm having the same experiences, it does like revs. It's just a bit buzzy up there, mine seems happier (smoother) at 4500-5000. My VRod is the same, loves high revs, just smoother at all rpms than the CR so far. | ||

EBarrrr ECM and it will be smooth all the way up to the redline. | ||

My CR was always at double my XB RPM anyway  | ||

I thought you were referring to turn speeds, double what the signs say and you'll have fun. |
