An 1190 this year with the extra power would have been great. I am sure Buell got some attention from the other teams this year, especially in this race. Hopefully the 1190 will come out next year with more power to keep the other teams off guard. Sure would be cool to see it win some of the races and be in the top three....Hopefully they can run at Daytona. 200 miles would sure show what it could do during the season. Now, we just need to get a couple of more teams running Buell out there next year. REX |

The 200 is a Daytona Sportbike race. Would have to be the 1125r. |

Would Geoff had done as well on a dry track? I don't think so. Even the Ducati was sticking it's nose in there despite the fact it has clearly lost a step or two as the season progressed. Thats another story. Speaking of which, the Ducati went with DOTs and the advantage they had for the conditions at the time. Someone here stated the Buell was on slicks, is that correct? I liked the DOT tire choice and was amazed more riders didn't crash due to the wet decks. The front runners were riding pretty hard considering the wet pavement. |

Yep, you are right about the 200. Daytona bikes, not superbikes. Well it is less miles for the buell the daytona superbike race. some top speeds there though.... |

ven the Ducati was sticking it's nose in there despite the fact it has clearly lost a step or two as the season progressed. That's a 1198R with all the trick bits as compared to the 1125RR which is stuck in time due to the freeze put on it by the AMA. I bet the Buell is down 20HP to that Duc. What the wet conditions did is eliminate the HP advantage held by the IL4s. It showcased the Buell's handling and obvious ability to put the power down to the ground much earlier. I think it's safe to say if the Buell had anything close to comparable HP, it would be fighting for podium spots. The 1190 might just do the trick. |

They were running slicks. I saw the bike after the race. |

Just watched the race tonight... so awesome! Geoff rode the wheels off that thing. I was wondering what happened that made him ride off, it DID look like someone may have stuffed him but it cut away real quick and they didn't do any replays of it. |
