Well looks like i did not get lucky, and the clutch cover started leaking.... Weather here is great and the bikes in the shop holding on parts. Trying to get the speed sensor changed also. | ||

Trying to get the speed sensor changed also. 1) afaik, its not if your clutch will start to weep--its when., so there's no luck factor involved. 2) If you are really that concerned about losing ride time, you should go pull your bike out of the shop and ride it. Except in rare cases, the clutch weep is not serious enough to keep a bike down. | ||

Theres enough comming out to make me shut it down. No reason to to take the risk. I dont know how the fluid reacts to rubber, but it was getting all over the rear tire. I need to change the head gasket on my aprilia... | ||

Nope. 10k miles and not an once lost on my 09. My 08 leaked, had it fixed, 5000 miles later still nothing leaked. | ||

Theres enough comming out to make me shut it down. No reason to to take the risk. I dont know how the fluid reacts to rubber, but it was getting all over the rear tire. I wouldn't ride it like that either. That's got to be one substantial leak to get all over the rear tire. Most are just a slow weep. | ||

Nope. 10k miles and not an once lost on my 09. I have got money it will start sooner or later. My '08 was well over 10,000 when I noticed the weep. My '09 started at about 3,000 or so. | ||

So, whats the actuall part number for the 08 to fix the weep. Iv heard one part number didnt come with a pin or something that would be needed. Harley wont even work on my bike so I need to get this done right the first time. | ||

X2086.1AM is the piston/liner kit. It will work in either RevA(small plastic puck) OR RevB(large Aluminum puck). Proper installation will stop the dribble. Zack | ||

Mine has started to weep at ~7500 miles. I'll wait till after Buelltoberfest to schedule service. | ||

Just for grins, I popped my puck last night and it was dry as a bone underneath. I had "The Fix" installed early February of this year, 6-7k miles since. Z | ||

my puck is dry as the proverbial nun's nasty yet mysteriously consumes fluid at an alarming rate. It doesn't always come out the puck! | ||

It may be going into the diaphragm side of the puck and into the case eventualy. I would pull the case off just be careful not to rip the diaphragm and make sure but thats just me. |
