I am very interested in your new velocity stacks. However, I am going with the E_B_R ECM for the Barker exhaust. I was concerned about necessary fueling changes and wrote E_B_R and got the following response: >> Hello Jeff, Thanks for the kind words. We haven’t heard of those parts from Dris, and not sure what impact they would have on our calibrations. At this point we have no plans to alter the calibrations for those velocity stacks. I am also interested in aftermarket velocity stacks made by Twin Motorcycles in the Netherlands: http://www.twinmotorcycles.nl/webshop/artikel.asp? guid=YXHFSC&aid=3005&cid=283&s=&a= These new items have been discussed on the 1125R forum of Badweb. Does Erik Buell Racing have any plans on optimizing their pre-tuned Race ECMs for use with these velocity stacks? On another note, at the forum we are all very impressed and proud of your accomplishments in AMA Superbike racing. Congratulations on your success and please keep up the great work! Best regards, Jeff >> Do you have plans to provide a sample set to E_B_R for them to optimize their fueling on their Race ECMs? I would love to purchase them but I want the fueling to be correct with my setup. Thanks in advance. Dris - thanks for the quick response. I didn't see what the cost was for remote tuning. All I saw was the cost for the cable. Also, will you have tuning for the Barker exhaust, K&N and your velocity stacks combination? On a separate note, I've been looking for updates on your Glendale Harley/TwinMotorcycles.nl assault on the Bonneville Salt Flats. How did the 3 Buells do? Thanks |

Dris, Sorry, I found the pricing on your Fuel Solutions website: http://www.fuelsolutions.nl/index_files/Page1025.h tm I've sent you an email with a few other questions. Please do report on your Bonneville Salt Flats adventure, I'm sure many others want to hear what happened. Thanks |

Congratulations on the 2 speed records (both with Buells) and the 160 rwhp and 92 lb/ft out of the 1125 - that is awesome with stock heads! Thanks for the link Dris. I saw that page but didn't scroll down far enough to see the Bonneville report. |

Sounds like its "either or" here. Erik Buell Racing doesn't want to have anything to do with Twin's Velocity stacks so if you want the stacks, probably better to go the Fuel Solutions route on your ECM. The difference in horsepower on the street will be neglible either way but it will be interesting to see if there is a reported difference in throttle response. Velocity stacks are nothing new to the hot rod community. -Tutt |

here is the update www.fuelsolutions.nl Easy, is that essentially a "no" to answer the original question then? Do you have plans to provide a sample set to E_B_R for them to optimize their fueling on their Race ECMs? |
