Hey guys, I had some time to work on the bike some today and I started taking my Millennium Edition plastics off so I could spray my spare plastics for a color change. Anyway under the tank and fender plastics some of the factory guys signed their initials. Looks like my bike was built right around valentines day... ok now for my tps reset, the documentation i've got says to reset after backing the screw out to fully closed, then it says after the reset to adjust to 4.6% well on mine...that was so high it wouldn't even run...I turned it down to .6% and got the idle to hover around the 950-1050 range. Is this correct? Also with my afv at 150% i'm thinking my running problems might be the dreaded intake seals though i've been running sans muffler for a few weeks while its being re-welded....we shall see tomorrow once the muffler is back on. |

nice find on the initials. Are you planning to keep those in place? |

Intake seals are easy. Get the bike running, and shoot carb cleaner at the gasket where the head meets the intake. If your idle changes...you have a leak. |

Buellboiler, yes I do plan on keeping those in place..I've got my full Millennium Edition plastics that I'm going to take off and store, and replace with a custom painted set i'm working on now... thing is i can't decide if I wanna do racing stripes or if I want to purchase the last 2 millennium edition tank decals in existence and one of the 5 bikini fairing logos and put those on to keep her showing the ME status..lol I'll be picking up some carb cleaner soon ratbuell, i've got it tuned to where it runs well with them leaking..thanks to good ole ecmspy |

150!!!! Wow,time to check seals and make sure the vacuum line on bottom of the intake manifold is still plugged. 6% about right.Make sure you can feel the intake close all the way when resetting. You can feel the butterfly seating metal to metal. |

is that vacuum line the little 90 degree nipple under the throttle body? i was wondering what that goes to..is it supposed to be plugged?. Also remember i'm running with no muffler at all for the time being while my muffler is being fixed |

If you know where decals are, send a PM to Babired. I know she's restoring an X1M and I think she's looking for decals...unless she found a set. |
