So I was out for a ride yesterday on a little backroad past some farms. As I downshifted for a corner, there's this weird sound that appeared to come from the right hand side. I pulled in the clutch and blipped the throttle and heard it again, but more like a double backfire. Weird is that it wasn't quite in sync with the throttle. That's when the cerebral processor kicked in, checked archives and reported back: 'gunfire'. Lesson learned. In Wisconsin and on nice fall weekends, someone just may be target shooting, pheasant hunting or sighting in the deer rifle. OTOH, if the Packers weren't doing well a TV may have bought it... |

Hey Zack, was that you I saw on the red 1125R last summer near Lake Geneva? I had the same bike. I was having too much fun on those twisty rustic roads. Were you the guy I ran into at Uke's during the demo rides? This guy mentioned his bike was in waiting on a stator. I'm bad with names. |

Mike, Maybe yes, maybe no. I ride around Lake Geneva on weekends, but haven't been to Ukes in a long time -pre 1125. And the stator was just last week. Do need to stop in there and say hi to Tom. We used to work together back in the day at Honda Farm. Neither one of us want to say how long back that was... |
