Lift the fork tubes up into the triple clamps and use clip-ons clamped onto the fork tubes. Should place your bars close to where they currently are (at least just looking at the pictures). this was a suggestion to lower the front on my 1125 cr after i posted some of my pics on buellxb.com whats your guys opinions.. the reason this was posted was because i put up images of my new shock on my cr that lowered it two inches. |

I'd not want much more tube showing above the triples on this bike. It's a pretty twitchy thing to begin with, and that's going to make it more so. You could slightly reduce the amount of tube showing and put traditional clip-ons under the triple. That will make the ergos more forward biased... |

if you slammed the back, slamming the front a proportinal ammount should restore the rake/trail to what it was before. the bike should be no more 'twitchy' moving the bars up to teh top of teh forks would actually be felt as a rise in thier relative postion to teh rest of the bike (ergonomically speaking) if all you do is lower the suspension, the bars, seat and pegs wil not have moved relative to eachother. they would only have moved closer to teh ground .... wait ... HUH!?! what are trying to do and why are you trying to do it? please copy and paste it or please post a link to your buellXB thread (or PM it to me if the mods don't like the inter-forum-ness) so we can see what your working with |

I think there is a company called "Racetech" or something that can rebuild your front forks with shorter springs matched to your weight/rear drop?? |

Just how much difference is there between the R and CR in the front end? I experimented some with sliding the forks up in the triple on my R a while back to see the effect on handling characteristics. After doing a lot of measuring I couldn't see sliding them up more than about 7mm. Much more than that was getting uncomfortably close to causing mechanical contact of the tire with other components under hard braking. |
