High bar CR, I'm 215 lbs ready to ride, use all the tire, 42 years sport riding, yada yada yada.. Got a great mix of back roads around here and these settings feel real good for me...ymmv. Forks-no preload, 1 3/4 out for rebound, 2 out for compression.....Shock- 2 notches from full soft preload, 1 1/2 out rebound, 20 clicks out for compression. |

Your close to my settings as well. I have an 09 1125r. Im 225lbs ready to ride. I currently have the front at 2 turns in on preload 1 3/4 rebound and compresion. Shock preload 3. Compression 18 and rebound 1 This is my best handling setup to date. Im surprised how far off the factory recommended I had to go. It rides waaayy smoother to. |

Interesting. I have not varied from the Factory settings. Maybe I should play around after I get a new set of skins. Thanks. |

Mountain (et al)- Absolutly...the book settings are just a recommended starting point (even though they don't say that !!). This applies to the rear also.... Mike |
