I ordered a Baldwin a month ago and its supposed to be built on the 28th. Looks like he`s ahead of schedule and its being built the 23rd. Should have it by next weekend! |

The only issue that I have with customs is that most of them are shorter than the Uly tall seat. I bought the tall seat because it is taller, if/when I do another seat, I want it to be taller than the one I have. |

Most of these guys will build one pretty much however you want. If you want a DAMN tall Uly seat, I'm sure they'd build it. |

I don't think Russell's tend to be shorter. Quite the opposite actually. |

I've had no problems doing 900 mile days on the stock 09 XT seat in the past. I'm 156# with a 30" inseam & 65 years old. I have noticed that lately the seat itself seems to be collapsing down a bit around the front edges. Did about 300 miles yesterday and it started to bother me a bit for the first time. Was wondering if the 06-07 seats fit the 09 XT???? Would guess that they should be interchangeable from 06 on, regardless if it's an X or an XT. |

I have an 07 low seat on my uly and it fits fine. I pretty sure they're all the same 06-10 X or XT |

Got my seat this morning and took it around the block. Bucket was moved 2`` forward and shaped different than the original. 1st impression on the test ride. Fits me much better and I can now stop flat footed at a stop.I got the gel insert and the firmness of seat very similar to a dirt bike seat but with less pressure points.Taking it to work the rest of the week which will add 150 miles to my impression. l8r bb |

Itileman...all this talk about butts has you thinking about yours! At 225 in my birthday suit I think the stock seats are just too narrow. I ordered a used Mayer floating around the Classifieds and should be here today. They make em wider to carry more weight spread out a little. We shall see. Euly |

Well I`m happy to say the seat was not a mistake. After commuting to work a week and a half plus this weekends cruise in Wis. this bike is the nicest most comfy bike I`ve ever owned. 6 hr days are very easy to do. They weren`t bad before but this makes a good bike great for me. Still got some more to farkle but the ergos are dialed in for me.l8r bb |

Yamafreak, I bought a Saddleman gel pad for my Sportster and I was not happy with it. To begin with it's very squishy and sits you up another inch. Also it's not really a big improvement in comfort. One last thing I'd like to point out is that if you leave it in the sun very long you'd better have a asbestos liner in your riding pants cuz you're gonna need it. The pad absorbs heat from the sun and it doesn't take long. I still have it and if you want to try it on your Uly, I'll send it to you if you pay postage. Send me a pm if you take me up on the offer. |

Barkbuster, use the "Upload Attachment" button at the bottom of the screen. You may need to resize (shrink) the pic to keep the total size under 100KB (maybe an 800x600 pixel JPEG file). |
