Seems as if the fan gremlin decided it was my turn.
I've noticed, ever since I rode through a torrential downpour about a week ago, the fans been acting a little weird. But first, a brief introduction. I'm new to the buell family. I just bought an 06 uly from a great guy (Jeff) in Raliegh, NC (I'm in Roswell, Ga) and after an 800 mile road trip, I'm the new proud poppa. I sold this
and this
to get this
So, back to the story of the fan. On the way back from an 800 (800 seems to be a trend!) moto trip, which included about 100 miles of fire service roads, I got caught in the worst downpour ever. Instead of pullin over, I decided to tuff it out. In hindsight, maybe a mistake, as now my fan is toast. It didn't die completely, but instead, ran very slow, as if, the bearing drag was too much to overcome. Anyway, I've got a new fan I'm about to install, so hopefully I'll be up and runnin soon. I've been lurking for awhile, and just want to say thanks to everyone that makes up this great forum and the knowledge they bring, which seems to help a lot of people, myself included. Tim |

Bartimus, that was my thoughts exactly! I was lookin at a weestrom, versys, and older multistrada. Narrowed it down to the versys and uly, and well, you see what won out. Idaho buelly, bought it with a little over 10 thousand miles and now it has a little over 12 thousand miles. |
