What a coincidence. The first thread I see when I open the page is on engine lights. And I had one come up yesterday towards of a long highway ride. It had been a bit reluctant to turn over during the day, and I found a none-too-tight +ve battery lead. Problem was, I didn't have a tool with me-yes, stupid , I know. Just a few k's from home, engine light came on. Stopped immediately, oil tank full, pumping, so I guess it's probably related to the battery lead. Restarted, and, as I said, just a few K's home. It started losing the speedo, intermittently, then the tacho, engine light would flicker, misfired once or twice then rolled into home. The light will go away when you first start then reappear, just like the other poster. I thought I'd run ECM spy as a diagnostic, but I hadn't installed it on the latest laptop, and the old one which previously ran it is gone. I went to the FDTI website for a USB driver, but none is listed for windows 7. ECMSpy installed OK, but no USB connectivity.Does anyone have any guidance for me on this?
