Hello. Does anyone have a set of Buell fork mounting brackets for the wind tombstone/headlight/signals? I've got a wind visor from an X1 from the early to mid 2000's. And a old chrome round head light with some signals that I have wanted to install on a bike for some time now. I don't know if the wind screen will only fit on the X1 brackets, but what also matters is that the brackets fit the forks which are not X1 or Buell. I'm thinking but don't know for sure if the fork tubes on the various models by Buell were different sizes. My fork tubes are roughly 41mm or (1.5" & two ticks). or From an internet converter: 41 Millimetres = 1.6141732283 Inch(s) I can have a precise measurement of the fork tubes by Monday August 23. If you have these parts please email ASAP as I would need them shipped to Vancouver by Friday August 27. Might have found a right one on Ebay for $10 Email @: surferearth@hotmail.com Thank you. Ari |

Might have some M2 headlight mounts with the fairing bracket. I can check in the morning after work, assuming I have them I will also check the size with a caliper. X1 windscreen should fit with other model mounts, worked on my M2 when I still had stock forks. |

Well hopefully you found a complete set on E-bay. I only found the windscreen part of the stock brackets. Don't have any idea what happened to the fork mounting bracket, it's possible I threw that away. I measured my old M2 forks and they are 43mm so the stock brackets should work for you. I also found some universal windscreen mounting hardware that came with a flyscreen I bought for another bike. They consist of a two piece clamp with a nut welded to the inside and would probably work as they measure just over 43mm. I'd suggest using some bicycle inner tube to shim it for a secure clamp, might even have some I could send too. These are powder coated black. Don't think they'd work with a stock head light due to the welded nut on the inside, you'd have to cut that off. I obviously couldn't get the stuff you you by Friday, but if you still have a need let me know and I'll send it up to you for the cost of shipping. -Mike |
