Well, waiting on the movers to come to get my stuff to take it to Germany. The computer is going off today, though we will still have the laptop. It was good meeting you folks on here and I will work to keep in touch during my time in Germany. |

We are loving it Jeff. I was talking to my buddy with a 5th wheel last weekend and now he wants one. The good thing is we do not need water (self contained 22 gallon white water), electric (have solar and battery) and can go anywhere my truck can. The best thing is no need for a dump station with the toilet and grey water setup we have. No need to pay for storage as it is always on the truck. It weights (fully loaded) 1200 pounds... I think the base model is less than 900 pounds. We like the "off grid" type camping anyway... With Lynn getting more into the Buell Events like Homecoming and the S2 Gathering I will trailer the bikes and we will camp all the way there and back... http://www.fourwheelcampers.com/products.htm We have the Granby |

Ryan, thank you for your service and we will keep you guys in our prayers. Sorry I didn't get back with you on the topper but obviously, we need to wait. It was great meeting you and riding with you. Take care and definitely keep in touch. John, have you ever been on Rist Canyon? WOW. We rode it on the bikes this weekend and what a blast. We talked to several bicyclists that have ridden that road and they say it's one hey of a ride. It has a 15% grade to it and one guy said it takes at least an hour to get to the top and it's only about 2 miles UPHILL. Frank, you guys rock. I must say, I do enjoy our little toy hauler. Fortunately we can store our baby right where we live and dump in the backyard right into the septic system (if we need to). We stayed at a KOA this past weekend and I must say, it's nice plugging into electricity and have an endless water supply. We're looking to head out this weekend to go dirt biking and will be dry camping, no utilities except what we take with us, battery and all. You guys have a great time this weekend, we'll be thinking about you. And say hi to everyone from beautiful NM. |

Rist is just northwest of Ft Collins. My Ex's mom had a cabin up "the hill" at Whale Rock. Mishawaka, up Poudre Canyon, used to be THE biker hangout on the weekends with concerts and camping. Solid M/Cs and cars parked along the road for 1/4 mile. I remember throwing sparks off the floorboards of my '48 Chief a few times to and fro Mish. Lost a few brothers and sisters to the canyons too.... Speaking of those days, we used to have an annual run up to Cowdry, just outside of Walden. I took the Chief up there one year and appreciated the old Linkert carb as we went over Cameron Pass with sleet. Everybody's "modern" bikes were sputtering in the thin air as I adjusted my air/fuel on the fly.. Thanks for the spur to the brain, John. Good roads up there I need to revisit. Zack |

If we had adventure bikes it looks like there are lots of off roads to take up in the Ft. Collins area. We keep talking about changing out bikes (but not yet) John, We are heading up towards Woodland Park but further west. We are going to try something different. Out to get dirty this weekend |

Hi Colorado Buellers! I have a HUGE favor to ask of someone, if they're willing. My 09 R's stator fried while I was in Sturgis last week so I dropped my bike off at High Country "on my home" to Utah. I got the call that she's ready to go today (yea!). My plan is to fly into Denver and ride her back home. My issue is that I need a ride from whatever hotel I stay at to the dealership. I'd like to hopefully do this on 28 Aug. I don't have the ticket yet, because I wanted to make sure I could get a ride first. According to Google Maps, it's only about 35-ish miles or so from the Denver airport to High Country. I'd be very happy to donate a case of beer or a bottle of adult libation to whomever might be able to help me out. Please PM me if you or someone you know would be able to help. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! |

I would normally be able to help as I work almost to the airport anyway but unfortunately Boeing has me in Seattle for the next couple of weeks. |

Kerri -glad I didn't say anything yesterday, I was thinking a week earlier. I met you when you were outside of Service with your R. If you fly in Friday the 27th I could pick you up after work. We have an extra room, no 4-star hotel but the spare room's bed is comfy and clean. I could take you with me to work Saturday morning. Let me know 303-833-6777 work(High Country) 720-635-0877 cell 720-494-0784 home Zack |

Frank, I'm still planning on taking the bike down in my truck. I was waiting to hear Daves final route plans to see if which way they were going. If they don't zig-zag back and forth too much I will follow that group as support vehicle. Were you and Lynn thinking of taking I-25 most of the way after Bishops Castle? I like the route south from Ft. Garland a lot. |

Question came up about dinner plans for Friday night. We're all on own, but thought some folks might like to meet up. I was thinking that there is a steak house on the main drag, just east of the park, I think, and it looks like it used to be a gas station. I think this is only two or three blocks from our hotel. Have no idea what the name is. Any thoughts? |

Dan and I went thru Woodland Park around 0730 this morning on our way to our camping area and the POW riders were gathering. We did about 60 miles today. It is really beautiful here. Easy trails but very relaxing. This would be a great learning area for you Lynn on your dirt bike |
