All stock...09 1125R...4600 miles...harness up grade at 4100 miles... I was riding today and then all the sudden I received this error. No speed, no turn signals, I couldn't stop because there was traffic behind me on a country road. I took this quick picture. I finally made it to a gas station then got batt. light shut the bike down restarted after about 3mins and all was good...WoW...just a glitch?

its probably the voltage regulator. check the voltage, if it goes up to 15 or 16 volts then its your voltage regulator. could be stator going out as well, the system voltage error comes up if the voltage goes to high or to low. If its going to high, then its probably the voltage regulator, if it is going to low, then it is probably the stator. |

The same thing happened to my 1125R. I always toggle to coolant temp. and voltage output before starting out. It would act just as you say and I could also hear the alternator whining but I just kept riding and after a mile or so the IP would come back on and the voltage would be 17 to 16 then drop back down and the whining stopped. Dealer replaced voltage Regulator all has been fine sense. |

Guess I'll be taking the bike to the dealer for a new voltage regulator.... |

Mine does the same thing, going into the dealer for a new voltage regulator tomorrow... It has done it since i got it with around 2,000 miles on it and i have put about 1,000 more since then, it usually happens when i rev it up near redline near the start of a ride i just kill it and start it back up whenever it happens and it is usually fine afterwards but the voltage can be as high as 19v when i shut it off and then it goes back down to 13.9 or so. |
