This is the end of my second rear tire at 7600 miles. This is after a short, mildly aggressive, lunch ride yesterday. It was close 90! The hot pavement eats the stock tires. I would like to get something that will last longer but still hold the corners under heavy juice. |

got a metzeler Z6 on back of the 12,digging it. bike turns in very much easier. kind of surprised me at the difference in handling. turns easier, but still stable. no hands at idle in first gear, and still cool at 130 in heavy cross winds. i expect it to last a bunch longer then the Dog207 that wore out after 2700 miles. later, dean |

I'm on a 12 also. Does the Z6 hold well in the turns? Nothin's more frightening than the bike steppin' out under heavy power. |

yes Z6 is hangin on real well. ran it at 130 mph for a bit in light rain, no problems. last weekend i crossed a wicked frost heave at 125 mph, now have a leaking fork seal. not a big deal, have some seals ordered. my first clue was a real hi effort at the brake lever (oil soaked into front brake pads) hope they are easy to replace? any body done the fork seals yet? |
