Julie, tell Dan he can find some pics of my bike with all the gear loaded on at the following Badweb link. The pictures were taken by the couple from California we met up with in Cheyenne. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/681 7/575450.html?1278597407 ps: it does take a long time for the page to load with the pictures, but it is worth the wait. Tell him to grab a shake from the blender while it loads. (Message edited by j2blue on July 08, 2010) |

In Beuna Vista there is an ice cream shop near a shell station on the east side of the highway. It is practically in the middle of the town. Noon. |

Hope you guys are having a great time in gunnison. We took a great ride up to Echo Lake. Got a little bit of rain, just enough to get the bikes nice and dirty. Hope to get out tomorrow again. |

No idea JC. Hey guys, we made it back safe and without any speed awards. BTW, as we all know my wife was fretting about her RN license exam. Well, she got her results back today and she passed. So all is good in the household again here. |

I rode the BRAG Riding the Rockies event about five years ago, and those photos look like an area that we rode through. Would it be US40 going to Winter Park? |

WEll, they are on the million dollar highway from Ouray to Silverton. You road that last year Julie. Unfortunately, I was not on the buell. I went down to volunteer for the HardRock 100 running race at milepost 60 in the race that was at 10,700 feet on a fourwheel drive road that goes over engineer pass. Had a great time. Pictures from the campsite that was the aid station. http://hardrock100.com/

I'm back in Canon City and the 1125 is tucked into the storage unit safe and sound. The day ran out on so I decided against going to Frederick and dropping it off tonight. It will get taken care of. All in all it was a wonderful ride yesterday. Good folks, good roads, good fun. I decided not to worry about the rest and just take it in stride. |

Hey Jody, good to hear that your back safe and the bike is too. I was just thinking about you and posting up to see that you did in fact make it back safe. Good luck with the repair. Least it's under warranty and it's a recall issue. |

Yes John, those pics are now looking familiar. As a matter of fact we'll be there again in about 1 1/2 weeks and we will be on the buells. Hope to get lots of pictures. Jody what happened to your bike? I hope it's nothing serious. |

It definitely is upping the excitement level knowing it's around the corner. I can just see myself eating up the miles. It is an absolutely beautiful area of Colo. Glad you had a great time. Looks like the weather was perfect. |

Jody - Sorry I missed your call, I was trying to help Doug get his Uly going. It quit on him on Peak-to-Peak, middle of nowhere. Nothing worked, he hitched a ride home and the Crash Truck will get his Uly tomorrow (it's safe). Eloy(sp?) will be in on Wednesday and I'll talk to him about the alternators. I really think, as long as you don't try to plug in too many accessories, the 08 alternator is a better fix than the harness thing. I better put a "My personal Opinion at the Moment" disclaimer here tho. My weekend, got my shims and gasket today, so Loretta goes back together finally. Long service but easier than the first time. Hey Julie, if you can't tell from Zac's post, my stator failed near Gunnison. No warning until the idiot light came on in the middle of no-where. Be prepared to get the same thing on your 1125. Better yet, go ahead and get the stator replaced before it fails if you can. |

That has already been done Jody. They had my bike for 3 weeks as they were waiting for another part which was on backorder. We still need to get that done but that will be after our trip but the wire was done. Sorry about your trip. |

Easier my butt.. This time, I'm changing 6 of 8 valve shims. The very first replacement popped out of the forceps and disappeared. in the motor. Then I lost a magnet I was using to fish for it. Got a laparoscopic probe out and found the magnet. Still looking/fishing for the shim. grrrrrrrr Z |

Zac, Damn, that sucks. How many miles on the bike? Did it need a valve adjustment again? Hope you get the shim out. |

Jc, it needs it every 12K miles. I think Zac is at 24K. |
