I want to try the tall seat on my '09 orange. I like the orange trim on the back so I'm looking for one of those preferably. I looked on American Sport Bike, they used to have them but don't have them on their site at the moment. I'm taking my bike to the dealer for 1k mi service next week so I'll ask them if they can get it. Does anyone know if they are still available from HD? I'd rather get it from a BadWeb sponsor or if any BW'ers are looking to get rid of one in good condition let me know. The stock '09 seat pushes me forward & is only "so so" comfortable for me, and I keep thinking back to the first Uly reviews I ever read about how comfy the original seat was. | ||

I recently bought the Black tall so seat form Bumpus, only took about a week to get it. I did get the black one, but the Buell website still shows this: Tall Seat for UlyssesŪ Model - Black/Orange N0025.1AKAYCE $111.00 | ||

Romanrider The tall seat is all that made my 09 ridable. The low seat that came on the bike was so painful for my fat ass. The tall seat made the Uly an all day rider for me. Best bang for the buck on this bike yet. Mine is also black only. Get the seat and recover the aft part or use some cheapo fabric spry paint. BDRAG | ||

Have an all black tall seat for sale. Hardly used, pristine condition. Tried too to cure my sore a.., but the seat makes the Uly just too friggin tall for me. Thought $50 +shipping would be a good price. | ||

Methed, I'm going to take it. If I don't care for it or if I can score an orange & black one at some point this one may go up for sale again on here. I talked to the dealer today and the p/n for the orange/black tall seat has been superseded by the tall black seat p/n. I take that to mean that just the black one is available from the dealer. Hunn, got your seat yesterday & enjoyed it on my short ride in to work this morning. So far so good - no more having to push myself back in the seat, and it's more comfy than the low seat for me! Woo Hoo! Now, the bike felt marginally slower with the all black seat so I'm going to keep looking for a tall seat with the orange on the back so if anyone knows where I can get one let me know. I'll suppose I'll also check with an upholsterer about changing the back part to orange. |
