Soo, mine are a bit messed up, needing to get new ones, and figured I would see what people are running for aftermarket or different from stock units.

Please tell me what you are running and what it came off of, etc.
Also how well it functions in comparison to stock and if there were any modifications needed to use it.

thanks.

Brembo RCS19 is a very nice upgrade for braking.

For the clutch side, perhaps these two Nissin suzuki parts. If you looked hard you might find them on a certain 1190.

57500-24F01 Clutch Master
59800-21H00 Lever

Performance is acceptable. They won an AMA championship last year.

What advantage does changing the clutch master provide?

For one, the clutch m/c with a smaller bore would allow more travel distance with less effort. It give a finer control/feel.

The stock brake master has an 814 stamped on I and I believe it has a 14mm bore. I don't see anything stamped on the clutch master. Unless you are unhappy with the effort and stopping power of the stocker, you should go for another 14mm unit. A larger bore will give a firmer lever but it will take noticeably more force to achieve the same amount of braking power that you'd experience with the stocker.

Any other ideas for the brake master?
I thought i had seen some guys running a Yamaha R6 unit?

Any details?
I'm looking to get my race bike going again, and $$ is a factor.

Get the RCS19 and move on. Seriously, it's an amazing part with a wonderful feel on the track. It's a bit like hunting rabbits with nukes for the street, but there's nothing wrong with having such a nice part on a street bike.

Grand Stand Designs sells a kit including a lightweight plastic res.

It's a really nice piece.
