They got the exit wrong, it's exit 139. It was Johnny at Hoban's idea to get it Road Racing's website. Ride to the edge! Dave daves@h-dappleton.com |

I can't wait to get there. This should be great. You will have Buells from all over, and I think there will be more Buells than Harleys. |

I would like to see more Buells than HDs too but that would mean we'd need about 800 Buells here. Now that, would be cool! Ride to the edge! Dave daves@h-dappleton.com |

And why can't we get 800 Buells there? Come on, this could be bigger than Homecoming. See you on Saturday. |

hang in there Erik! I just had my shoulder worked on too...and boy does it hurt.....the original rod that they put in was not working, so they had to go in and add plates and more bone...took the bone out of my hip and that hurts almost as much as the shoulder does....but it will be better shortly.....even though I may have the sling on for homecoming.....rEx |

Man, I sure hope it warms up a bit, gonna be a cold ride from Mpls! I (we) plan on leaving around 6:00AM, that should put us in Appleton around 11:30 or so. Kind of depends on the number of warm up stops... See you all Saturday! Brad |

Per Intellicast for Saturday: "Mineapolis, MN Saturday: More sun than clouds. Highs in the low 60s and lows in the low 50s. Appleton, WI Saturday: Plenty of sun. Highs in the low 60s and lows in the low 40s."

Tbolt Dad, My Durango broke a transfer case, so I won't be able to make it this weekend. This makes two rides already this month I have missed. If you have already purchased the race gas, let me know what I owe you. I don't want to leave you hanging. Later, Dave |

...snowdave....don't worry about it....the juice was 'borrowed'....doesnt cost me anything until i burn it...good luck on the t-case...sonsabitches can be a pain to work on...might just end up running the juice in my 'bolt and setting her up on the dyno...we'll see.... |

Police test in Grafton? Hmmm, is that the one where they spin you around 3 times, put you in the squad car & tell you that you have 2 minutes to find Dunkin Douhnuts? |

DaveS...Just a note to thank you for the invite. I had a really great time at the open house. Wish we could have spent more time chatting, but you were most certainly a very busy man today. Again, congratulations on landing at Appleton HD/BMC. That is a very well run business. The showroom had the best stock and layout of any I have seen. The service department looked immaculate and all of the employees were warm and friendly. I can see where you fit in well and should have a very promising career there. One last thing a few of us observed. The folks that attended the open house were all very friendly. It was an organized, clean cut affair that was family friendly. Quite a refreshing break from the stereotypical greaseball affairs I have experienced elsewhere. There wasn't a single attitude problem anywhere. Kudos to all! Thanks again and rest assured Appleton HD/BMC will be a mandatory stop every time I/We head up your way! |

I dont know about up north but right here it hasnt gotten above 50 degrees yet. And how were gas prices up there? 87 octane just hit $2.14 a gallon today, thats insane. |

Have to admit it wasn't the warmest ride I ever took. Think all were chilled but the funniest story was when Dave Gess showed and told the story about how his electric vest didn't work. LOL |

...was a beautiful day for a ride, was well above 50 degrees for the ride home...a good time was had by all (as they say)...Erik was as cordial as he could be with his arm up in a sling and definitely paining him...his wife was ready to take him home earlier than I believe he wanted to leave...kudos to Dave and Co. for the bash, was a nice affair... |

Thanks to everyone that came for the open house. Always great to see Buell riders having a good time. Special thanks to, Erik for braving the pain to show up! Jeff Johnson Scott Beck Randell Hendricks Dave Gess And most of all, my wife Penny and my mother in law Bobbie. They rode all the way from Waterloo yesterday in 40 degree weather to be with me this weekend. Must have had close to 40 Buell riders here throughout the day. I sold another XB today and got to introduce the new Buell rider to Erik. He thought that was too cool! Just wait til next year! Ride to the edge! Dave daves@h-dappleton.com |

Daves thanks for the invite, quite fun. I go to talk with a few folks and it was fun. Thanks to Trish for driving Erik up. Dyna were the heck are you. It was easily 60 degress or more in Appleton. Folks out in t-shirts and shorts. It was a little cold on th eway up, especially since the electric vest did not work. It was tolerable I only stopped 3 short times. Actually one was long, I was offered a chance to take a MV Agusta Butrale for a spin and you don't pass that up. Neat bike, sounded cool, went fast, very nimble. Of course for 16 grand it should also wash my car and take out the trash. Dave |

This morning it was 44 degrees....I pussed out pure & simple. 150+ miles in that temp is no damn fun anymore. Spent the day running to menards for a few new storm windows. I will make it up to Appleton when it warms up a bit & not so many people are there. |

I finally made it home from the multiple detour route home I took. I'm exhausted but I had a great time. Dave, good show man! It was fun and a great excuse to spend eight hours on the bike. H Hopefully we'll hear from Mike (Newguy) soon and we'll find out if he when he finally got his tire replaced. ...And the weather wasn't that bad, I just should have worn more clothes for the ride up! Heck Dyna, My wife and I live 9600 ft. above sea level. When we leave early in the morning for a ride 44 degrees would be a luxury. Even in mid summer we're happy to have 35 degrees to start the day. Could not do without our electric vests. Best comfort investment any rider could make. We never leave home without them. Kim |
