Well since the '08 was due for tires (again) I decided to try a little higher mileage tire and have a set of Pirelli Angel ST tires installed.

Had the dealer install them when they were doing the front rotor and fixing the clutch leak (hopefully it's fixed).

I've only got about 100 miles on the tires but first "seat-o-pants" impression... a little harder sidewall. Keep ya posted.

How is the turn-in? Going from the Corsa IIIs to PP 2CTs made the bike feel much lighter and easier to turn-in. Since you didn't mention noticing a big difference (I did just riding down the block), I'm guessing that the Angels feel pretty similar to the Corsas.

Turn in feel is smooth and predictable, but as mentioned earlier just a few miles on them nor the chance to ride any real twisties yet. No notable difference in handlebar input. I'm running about 35F / 36R tire pressures and it is stiffer than the Corsa III's. I'll drop a couple of pounds in each tire and hopefully get out for a ride this weekend and see what it feels like.

Also, while the "R" was in the shop getting the clutch leak repaired again went out for a little 24 Hour / 4 State / 1000+ Mile solo ride. Here's the trip report if you care to peruse: http://www.bayarearidersforum.com/forums/showthrea d.php?t=340820

I put an Angel on the rear of my MG Norge. The tire sticks great and feels very determined in the twisties. It was a replacement for a Diablo Strada. I am about due for a new front and will replace it with an Angel as well. I hope they show good mileage.
