Thought I would start a thread here in case there is a lurker or a new person that wants to go ride. Who is riding to the IMS show with me? I live in Hemet but will detour... |

Check the SoCal Storm Fronts section. There are a few of us that will likely meet & eat at Denny's then head for the show. -Saro |

I'd like to point out that this section of the forum unlike the storm section is for fellow Blasters to get together for 2 & 3& 5 man rides, while storm fronts is for group rides and area happenings - there is a difference! - lol GT -- JBOTDS! EZ |

Well its getting to that time of year again! Who would be interested in a group ride for all Northern California and beyound riders to meet the Southern California and beyond Blast riders? The time April 2, 3, and 4 - though it can be just the 2nd and 3rd for those pressed by time! Yes the anual San Louis Obispo - SLO Ride is on again and I hope to meet a lot of the western USA Blast riders this year! How about it folks - a chance to finally put a face to the names/nonplumes of folks you've been conversing with is yours and the rides are fun! Speak up if your interested so I can get rooms and rides arranged. Last year was great fun and a great group of rides - to there, around there, and back again! - 3 unique routes, and new additions planed for this year! Well Blastards - how about it - ready to ride? Got Thump?! Just Blasting on the Dark side! EZ |

From an email I received. I expect to be there! Greetings from American Sport Bike!! Once per year, we sponsor a BBQ party to thank all our customers for their continued support. For the past few years, the BBQ has been held on a Sunday at the end of August right here at the shop in Vista, California. It has been well attended and is one of the largest gathering of Buell owners in the country. But it has been difficult for those further away from Southern California to get to on a Sunday and still get home. So we're doing it a little different this year. This years gathering will be in Buellton, California (where else?) on a Saturday instead of Sunday, and in October instead of August, which should make it easier for folks from further away to attend. We'll still have a great BBQ, some nice pre-BBQ rides in the California coastal ranges, some very cool raffle prizes from many of our great suppliers. The BBQ is happening Saturday October 14th, with many riders arriving Friday the 13th, and leaving Sunday the 16th. Group rides to and from the event are being planned. We have a bunch of hotel rooms blocked out. You can find all the RSVP details Here and Here. Please RSVP if you're coming so we can make sure there is enough rooms and food. Thanks, Al & Joanne of American Sport Bike |

http://www.americansportbike.com/2007_BBQ.htm Anyone going to Buellton Sept 29th? I expect to be there. Greetings Fellow Buellers, It's time once again to make your plans for the Annual American Sport Bike Customer Appreciation BBQ. Its one of the largest gatherings of Buell enthusiasts anywhere, and due to the success of last year's event, we are once again holding it in the ideal setting of... BUELLTON, CALIFORNIA on Saturday, September 29th, 2007. The beautiful central coast rides to this area are guaranteed to put a smile on everyone's face. There will be group rides to Buellton on Friday from the bay area as well as southern California; others to be determined. Come enjoy a delicious Tri-tip bar-b-que on Saturday, great prizes, lots of bikes to ogle, and most importantly, the comraderie of fellow Buell enthusiasts! Does it get any better than that? We've set up some blocks of rooms at a couple of the local hotels for Friday and Saturday night; camping locations are also available for the more adventurous. We need you to RSVP if you're going to come, either by doing it online here or by sending us an RSVP via snail mail, see here . In order to get a firmer commitment from folks so that we don't grossly overpay the caterer (like last year), we're charging a nominal fee of $10.00 a person this year. We'll gladly refund your money if you attend and feel that you didn't get your monies worth, though! Please act fast, hotels are filling up in the area. Contact info for the hotels is on the snail mail form linked above, and we've blocked out some rooms that we can get you info on when you RSVP. We hope you can make it! Thanks, Al and Joanne

Well maybe not this weekend, but I have a growing list of SoCal Blasters so I think a group ride is in order soon, before the weather gets cold (Ha Ha ) |

Ray- Loli and I are / were enthusastic Blasterds. Our Blasts have seen better days and the idiot servicing the bikes (me) hasn't gotten around to getting 'em running. We live sorta near Lake Hughes. Hopefully I can have running Blasts soon and we can do a Blast ride. -Saro |

I'm up for a group ride. It's actually my wife's bike. If she's interested in going, I might have to slap a Blast sticker on one of my other bikes (so nobody give me a hard time). |

How about Sunday Aug 24th for a group ride? I know its not that spontaneous, but it gives everyone a chance to set the date aside and coordinate a meeting place. |

I'm good with the 24th I'll use a sick day ( I work on weekends), just let me know when and where. Any body feel like cruising the coast? PCH from anywhere... We could start on Mulholland even have breakfast at Sagebrush Cantina in Calabasas. I'm friends with the owner. |

Orange, Simi Valley, Buena Park, Riverside, Inland Empire, Corona and possibly Lake Hughes. We'll have to see who else might show and find a central meeting place or decide who gets to ride the farthest. (Message edited by gearheaderiko on August 06, 2008) |

How about Angeles crest Highway? Not too hot and a beautiful ride. Or we could do one of the other mountain roads, even Big Bear sounds good and is close to the 909ers. |

Okay blastards, lets give everyone August to fix what they have to on their bikes and clear a Day in early September.' I doesn't always have to be a weekend guys we can always meet on a week day also. Some spots I thought would be good rides..... Big Bear Angeles Crest highway Mulholland Drive from PCH to Hollywood or in reverse PCH from wherever Shoot even the mountains near the Dessert ( Palm springs) works as long as we get going early so nobody overheats Also the Buell team from Glendale is Racing up at Willow springs the 3rd Sunday of this month and there are racing a few Blasts. I bought my old Firebolt (boohoo) from them and have hung out at Willow with the guys and all are very cool, plus there are always a few hotties around the races to make it much more pleasureable. And its hot up there so they are usually in Bikini tops and short shorts, get my drift Hollar back guys. |

That begs the question: You gonna race your Blast? Perfect after you get the Uly! I'm not sure I've seen you at Willow Springs or not. Are going to do Inside Pass in Nov or perhaps maybe some other track days? Kinda hoping the for a ride on the 24th. Whose bikes are broken? Sycho's bike is fine, a couple minor glitches not withstanding. Got to meet him (and is white Blast) today. I've never actually seen the white in person before and it does look good! I'm halfway between the Crest and Big Bear, they're both good. Dont care at all for city rides (which is most of PCH) or traffic. I'd tend to let the newer riders and where they live or want to ride too, dictate where we go. |

As Erik stated we got to meet last night. Very cool and helpful guy. Pointed out a few things I need to attend to so as not to run into any future problems. Took along time gettin to sleep with all the ideas runnin thru my head on what I'd like to do to this thing. But can't do anything till the wife learns to ride and decides if she likes it or not. Anyways the 24th sounds great, would love to meet some other Blast riders and check out the mods on their bikes. Not an aggressive rider, but not a slo-poke either, so wherever is good. |
