Hi Guys, I've got a 09 model CR and I've been reading a lot about de-noiding the 1125 engine. My question is most people are denoiding the R model, does the CR need it too?? Also I'm in the UK (Kent) and looking for other Buell owners to ride with. Thanks |

Frankie, i'm in Kent Medway near maidstone at last another Buell owner near me haha. Come over to mine ill take a look for you, yes you have to/can de-noid the CR, i have a de-noid resistor i don't really need as i have a Erik Buell Racing ECM now. We must get out for a ride, mine will be back on the road in a week or 2, i crashed it a Lydden Hill a little while ago. |

Yes it is a good idea to denoid, also I would recommend the ebr ecm. They can set up for several different exhausts including standard with a cat(as yours should have) colin. |

Frankie - "does the CR need it too??" "Need" is the key question here. None "need" it, but I did mine anyway (R model). Truth be told, I noticed little or no change after the denoid. But - I was swapping ECM anyway, which, as I understand it, does not support Solenoid function, so I got rid of it to save a few pounds of useless weight. With factory chip in, you probably should look into a resistor plug for the connection to the (former) solenoid. About five bucks through the EB race site. |

When the solenoid is disconnected you are not pulling the solenoid as you open the throttle, this in my case made the throttle feel a bit lighter and smoother. If you are not changing the ecm then you are at risk of the throttles being influenced by the ecm if you do not discon it. |

> When the solenoid is disconnected you are not pulling the solenoid as you open the throttle, > this in my case made the throttle feel a bit lighter and smoother. This is *the* reason, and it's a damn good one, to de-noid, IMHO. All other reasons that will be cited are solved easily enough with a simple down shift, race ecm or stock. |

I saw the first post and thought of you. Did my brake and your bike not get along? I am about to do the 700+ miles out to California and hope to have no disagreements between brakes and bike ; ) Seriously though, hope you are alright. |
