Hi fellow blastards. I did a dumb thing, and when removing my seat, snapped of the plastic tab on the front underside of the seat. The tab that clips under the metal piece on the bike frame that anchors the front end of the seat, whereas the metal spike anchors the seat in the back. new seats are around $100 and I'd really like to just fix what I have and work with it. Any ideas on how to anchor this seat in the front without that tab? Surely I'm not the first person do this? (or maybe I am ). I welcome any suggestions. |

Do You still have the tab? Its really very simple: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/201 64/436580.html?1234831632 You dont need the tab, but it helps. Its basically a small band of steel with 2 sheet metal screws holding the tab on. You can also glue the tab back on (if it was still attached but broken). Or you can screw the back part of the seat on with screws from the underside. (Message edited by Gearheaderiko on July 09, 2010) |
