On the right hand side of your motor there is a round Buell XB9/12 disc that’s pop riveted onto the timing cover casing. Well, mine fell off. Fortunately the disc landed in the belly pan OK. Unfortunately, one of the rivets was caught by my new rear Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa !!!! Check your rivets tonight and save $$$$$$!!! 119

Me too. Did the screws. Those rivets are DUMB. One of my rivets melted on a hot day last summer. |

I rode around wondering what in the wide world was making all that racket! Got to a stop, looked down, and only one rivet was holding it on, all the while making an awful racket. None hold it on right now, that 3M auto molding tape sure holds strong. |

My forward most rivet came loose a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away (1000 miles or so, July 02). I piece of duct tape held the timing cover on till I got off my lazy kiester and put new rivets in. Holding fast at +12K. |
