I've had my 2000 M2 for about 3 months now (I've put 2000 miles on it, total miles on the bike is 5000) and recently my battery started to go dead on me. The battery is stock from Harley and new this spring. I noticed it when I left work and it had a hard time turning over, I then went and ran some errands and when I came back out it was totally dead. So the bike is not charging the battery. Is there anything to look for on these bikes that might go bad? The only electrical mod I have done is to put new smaller turn indicators on, but they use the same wattage and voltage as the original bulb. Thank you, Dave |

Pop off the derby cover and take a whiff. A bad stator will generally *REALLY* smell bad. Then use the factory test sequence from the service manual. It'll track it down. |
