Used ones sell for almost that much. Before those guys came around, you had to pay like $300 for one....which is why I point to it. IMO, I'd rather spend $20-50 more for a new than a used one. Either way, good luck with your search!

thanks, ill keep it in mind. its just hard to believe that some of my inline 4 buddies can get one for like 60 bucks. but thats the price for being unique.

Yep its a volume issue. Honda sells more bikes in a day than Buell did in 27 years. Not hard to figure out which one will have a bunch of Chinese companies making cheap goodies. Even the mass produced Jardine one for the 1125's is a hundred bucks and looks like ass, and you could make one yourself in about 5 minutes with some scrap aluminum for that bike. The XB-S tail unfortunately is a bit more complex.

other option is to do it yourself. It cuts pretty easy with a dremel. there's some really good how to threads on here.

I believe most of the in line 4 Jap bikes you are referring to have a similar tail like the 1125's do.Have you noticed the 1125 tail tidy is only around $60.00? So basically those guys are paying for a modified tag bracket. On a lighting you are getting a new fender that has been cut exact and usually has a finish on it already.I thought about it for a year or so before I bought my kit.The best part of it is I still have my old fender and can always put it back on.If I were you I'd just save my money and order a kit from americansportbike.com This is only my opinion.I hope it helps.Best of luck!!Btw:your stock tail light lens will work on the new kit.The lens has a void in it where the light shines through you will see when installed.DO NOT order a new lens unless you want to.
