cooool -- now, if anyone can come up with a route to that neck of the woods that's more entertaining than the slab, we're set!

(I'll be doing some research in that regard this evening)

8:30/9 at Uke's is good by me. Just let Heather know.

Now, Saturday...
Here's some questions and my thoughts to answers (none of which neccessarily mean anything).

Who's all heading up to Appleton? (I am)
Are we stopping and meeting folks in Milwaukee or will we be a big enough group on our own? (I'm thinking that if we're more than 5-6 bikes on our own we just make our way like that.)
Where do we want to meet? (Uke's? Our place? Other?)
When do we want to leave? (?)
Route (I'm thinking not freeway - most interesting/entertaining without being horrendously out of the way gets my vote.)

Racing is officially 6pm to 10pm...I'm hoping to show up around 5pm if i get everything done tonight. My 'Bike' (rolling collection of spare parts) has only run for about 20 seconds total at 1am last night.....needs a little more TLC to say the least...

Hope to see you guys there!

Griz,
I took off work so I'm going rain or shine. Thankfully, the weather is supposed to be cool but clear. Mid 40's early in the morning and highs in the mid 60's near appleton. It should be good weather for the ride.

I think the best route, according to the map (?) is 20 to 83 to 145. No real highways and it's pretty direct. Someone said that there is a small detour where 83 and 145 meet near Fon Du Lac. It's pretty simple though and we can easily handle it.

We could meet at the hwy 20 McDonald since that isn't too far south and there are gas stations, coffee and food right there.

JT

Question for the ones who wrench out there.
the M2 front brakes are giving me some grief.
installing new pads, pushed pistons back in order
to acommodate new pads, installed, grabbed brake lever and am now able to pull back to the bars: (
tried bleeding, seems to be fine? dirty piston locking up? more bleeding? ever heard of this problem before? brakes worked great before the pad change. they'll stop the bike, but not on dime, not even a quarter.

Help!!!

thanks

M2guy....still air in the lines. The easiest way to bleed the front brakes is to open the bleeder and let her sit for about 30 minutes. It takes longer than you think to get the line free of air.

Tom,

Another trick is to remove the caliper, push the pads all the way in and wedge them in with a piece of wood or something (idea is to reduce volume of fluid behind pistons to a minimum), lift the caliper above the level of the mastercylinder (may have to recruit mrs M2 for that), and bleed with the bleeder in a perfectly vertical position. Once you get a solid lever, pull the wood out, pry the pads back apart with a screwdriver and re-install caliper.

Good luck!
