One of a kind custom Buell XB12 Scg for sale - why ride an average bike when you can ride a work of art!
I bought this bike in spring 2008 because I loved what the original owner had done with the frame. I don't know about you, but I like the things unique. I'm mean, a Buell is different than the norm to begin with, but anyone can buy a stock bike that looks just like another one going down the road. I thought the brushed metal frame really set this one apart. But as soon as I got it home, I began to upgrade it, like I tend to do with everything else. In the last 100 miles this bike has had over $3k in new parts and work put into it. Not that it needed any work, I just wanted to upgrade it. I actually rode the bike back from OK when I bought it and it was incredible! I was worried it might not be so comfortable on a long ride, but not a problem. I even got stuck in rain over Raton Pass and it did a great job. Anyway back to the upgrades: Micron Exhaust and pipes Crossroads Clip-on Style Handlebars Pazzo adjustable short black brake and clutch levers Oberon adjustable Bar end mirrors and extension mounts Rizoma black bar ends New thick gel grips New custom rear spring (stiffer suspension, but smoother ride) Free spirits modified belt tensioner Rear Nissin Brake caliper, pads, and repositioning kit New rear brake rotor New front brake Wave rotor All new bolts for rotors and brakes All engine covers replaced with brand new Buell black covers and new seals Open air box conversion kit with K&N filter New Scg smooth leather seat Brand New Buell Villain black wheels New rear and front tires Custom polished edge rear belt pulley Carbon fiber rear fender New frame pucks New air scoop New front foot pegs Sato Racing Front and rear axle sliders New kick stand bolt Buell Saddle Bags Buell Rear Bag and rain cover Motorcycle Cover New battery Harley battery trickle charger In addition: Buell Race ECU (rare and difficult to get now) Carbon fiber full front fender Carbon fiber front wind screen Carbon fiber airbox / tank Carbon fiber chin cowl Rear finder elimination kit with clear tail light and integrated turn signals Clear Mini Front blinkers So why would I sell it after putting all that work into it? Well, a few months after I finished the bike, I went out of the country for a 2-3 month trip I'd been planning. That trip turned into being out of the country for most of last year; meeting my new wife; and many additional changes. We're back home now, but I just haven't been riding the bike much. It's designed for 2 up, but it's not the most comfortable for 2, and definitely doesn't work if we want to take the new puppy along. And to be honest, even though where my wife is from they're used to motorbikes, this one has about 10X output she's used to and the sound actually scares her a bit (I happen to love how it sounds). Plus I'm still trying to finish up a complete rebuilt on a Syncro Westfalia and my wife will be needing a car soon. So too many reasons to let it go, and even though I love just looking at the bike because it's like artwork, I just can't justify keeping it when it should be enjoyed. Price: $7500 including bags, cover, and charger (will knock a few hundred off if you don't need or want them). PS: This bike has always been adult owned and meticulously cared for, and never raced, crashed, stunted, or dropped.
