Thanks for the postup!!! I just installed HIDs and think I might've disconnected the speedometer connection when stuffing the wiring and ballasts into there under the cluster. Good luck to the OP, flow chart easy to follow. |

I have an 03 and mine does not work either and I have been needing to replace it but it just never makes it on to my high priority list. How is your speedometer not working not at the top of the list? Why don't you disconnect the brakes while your at it. |

Perhaps the 03 sporty sensor works on the 03-04 but the 08 does not. Just to clear up info. Dont have an 03 sensor on stock at my shop so im checking at a couple others. |

why do I need to know how fast I am going? If i am in and around town I just keep with the flow of traffic if I am on some curvy country roads I just go fast enough for me. Its funny you mention taking off the brakes because my first few bikes I had as a kid had no front brakes (they were flat track bikes) |

Damn sorry guys, it was 08 that mine went bad, try the 06 sporty. Tried to find a comparison picture on the net but I can't. Like I said the inly difference was the Sporty sensor has a longer wire. |
