When either of my Buells (00 M2 and 01 S3T)were out in a heavy rain, it seemed like I was getting water in the gas tank. I looked at the gas cap o-ring and found both were hard and cracked. The replacement o-ring from HD was something like $10 so I checked around and found them much cheaper. Product ID: ov-75-229 Product Name: Fluorocarbon 229 Size O-ring Unit Price: $1.06 -------------------------- Product ID: ob-70-229 Product Name: Buna-N 229 Size O-ring Unit Price: $0.14 The shipping was more than the cost of the o-rings so I probably have a lifetime supply right now. From where did you get these, with part numbers and all? Is one part number for the M2 and one for the S3T, or are these two versions of the same O ring? Thanks. |

This is great info. I've been wondering what O-ring size was correct. Jayvee, he's listed two O-rings that are the same exact size, but are just made from different elastomers. Both types are acceptable for use with gasoline. |
