Anyone else have this problem? I first noticed it about a week or two ago and it seems it has been happening more and more. I'll be cruising along and glance down and see a big fat 0 where my speed should be. Has no effect on the tach. I haven't been able to figure out what causes it our what fixes it but it comes and goes. |

I have the same problem even after taking the bike into the dealer 3 times for it. Since it is intermittent and random. Check out this topic for my story |

I have had this problem as well. I have 8000 miles on my R. I took it in after reading all the posts about this problem. When I told them it was the speed sensor they didn't believe me. They want to "diagnose" the problem. I told them it was an intermittent problem and I never know when it will happen. Bottom line is my dealer won't order a new speed sensor until they look at it. It really doesn't happen enough for me to tie up riding time while they "diagnose" the problem. I told them I would run it until it doesn't work at all and then bring it in. I have a few more months of warranty so I hope it goes before then. Thanks to this web site I know more about this bike than the mechanics at the dealership. You would think they would listen to us Buell riders by now. |

Mine started doing the same thing. Going to have my water pump seal replaced this weekend, and will have em take a look. |

Mine was intermittent for a long time. It finally started throwing Sys Speed Error or something like that on the cluster, and the dealer saw it. I bet I put 1,000+ on the bike with it reading "0 MPH" before it was finally replaced. |

Mine does the same. Is it the speed sensor or the speedo itself? My mechanic said it was the speedo and have ordered one but they haven't replaced it yet>? |
