Hey Everyone, I recently bought a 2000 M2. I am looking to replace the currrent gas tank, and found a nice deal on here for a tank off a 97 M2. Does anyone know for sure if this will fit on my bike, or if it will take some modification to get to work properly? | ||

It will fit just fine. But, there is a difference between the two. The tank you have isn't the same as a 97. 97 was a skinny tank with less fuel capacity, as opposed to the Manta style of the of the 99-02 tanks. So, if you like the look of the skinny tank, it will work, but be aware it is not the same as what you currently have. | ||

The little tank will fit just fine, but the seat doesn't fit the tank like you would want it to. To get it right, you need the early(small)tail section and seat.(ouch)But I love the look. | ||
