2007 XB9R, original owner, have title, very good condition (8.5 - 9) with the exception of a serious knock in the engine. Not the sprocket nut as that has been checked, or plugs, primary chain...more work and $$ than I am prepared to invest at this time. Not happy, but time to move on. Located in Aurora, IL. Nice (save for the engine knocking...) unmolested XB9R. Only functional mod was upgrade in tires and breather mod. All plastics and exterior an easy 8.5-9 in regards to condition. Couple powder coat chips on both wheels, little rust on muffler. Also have original red plastics and seat, Buell custom seat installed. Connector 77 has been changed w/Buell upgrade kit, 3 month or so old battery, decent tires-Pirelli DC III, new air filter, Buell Traction grips, Dark Horse sliders, and OEM S2 decals replace the Buell rubber ones. Have Buell soft bags as well. Please let me know if you need additional info/pics. Thanks for looking.

Hello. I am new to the site and upon browsing through the classifieds, I came across your ad. I live right out in Hinckley and would like to know when it would be possible for me to come take a look at your XB9. I currently dont't have much of a schedule, so whenever is best for you, let me know. If you wish to give me a call my number is : 630-768-0221 and my name is Jake. Thanx, and I hope to hear from you. |

What sounds like a serious knock could be a couple different things. Most likely......piston slap, which is easily fixed with a over-bore and a couple over sized pistons (takes a couple hours to do the swap). I've had this occur on a couple of Sportsters and Buells, some worse than others. Worst one was a Sporty with a 1200 kit that had the bores opened up .005" or so too big. Sounded like the motor was going to implode. Worse case would be a lower end knock which would require a tear down and much more money. For 3K it's tempting, except I really don't need another project........good luck with your sale. |

Anyone? Also looking for a possible part trade for a local (don't hate me...) solid/complete Honda CB450 twin, CB500/550 or CB750 (to 1976) SOHC 4. Honda CB-1 or Kaw GPz twin shock bikes also a possibility. |
