I have a set of bar end mirrors that were on my bike when I bought it. I like them, but they are enough fuzzy at speed (over 55) that I can't indentify who is behind me. I tightened the bolt on one, as it was a little loose, and it helped a little. I have tried putting my hand on the stem, which helps a little too, but not enough to be be able to tell if the car behind me has a bubble on its roof. My last S1W got a lot better when I replaced its front tire at 10K, but this tire looks like 80% and I am not getting any vibration through the grips. Is this the nature of bar ends, or is there something I can do to make it where I can see clearly.

Never seen that type of bar end. I have Motrax bar ends on the xb that are rock solid; they are CRG ripoffs. It may just be that particular type of uncommon bar end mirrors. You could do a cheap experiment, and buy Cateye bar ends for $10-15 or so. They are for bicycles, but many use them on Buells with good results. |

I had the same ones on my S1. I could tell that a car was there but nothing beyond that. This was with good tires also. |

I have the CRG mirrors. The view is as clear at speed as it is when the bike is standing still. |

I checked into the CRG's, and they were around $80 each. I found these on Ebay for $59 a pair, shipped free. They work well.
My old mirrors look like they may be the bicycle type.
