I see an Eagle Rider is in Jackson, and they have a pretty nice selection of bikes (not just Harleys anymore). If I went (which I will someday), I'd get the R1200GS - never ridden one. They have an RT as well, which I like, especially for higher speeds and twistier roads. Renting is pricey, but if you don't have a ton of vacation and live far away from an incredible destination, it's totally worth it. I never thought I'd see the desert Southwest, CA wine country, or a foreign country on two wheels before retirement, but I have. |

I drove the new R1300R.... not a fan. Too much high oscillation vibration through the handles, Bike is really low, and with my 6'3" frame it made it hard to upshift (my ankle was already bent to the limit just to put my foot on the peg, how am i supposed to upshift???). Also I felt the back wheel a little squirly in low speed cornering, and the bike is a little hesitant to angle in higher speed cornering. Really cool to look at though.... its the kind of bike that you can look at for hours without getting bored. |

for RIDING suggestions I would head directly from Jackson to Yellowstone and spend one day doing the lower loop and one day doing the upper loop Then exit the park at teh north entrance and head to Red Lodge, MT via the Beartooth Highway....SPECTACUULAR...... |
