We always skip those toll roads by heading north at Dixon, Illinois. We'd do the Ulysses thing but that would add another 160 miles to the trip since we live around Omaha. Sounds like fun though. | ||

We just got back this afternoon. My son and I camped up at Grove Lake, NE and then went down to Ulysses, NE. to get some photos. By the way, did one of you BadWebbers leave a set of corded yellow earplugs by the sign just outside of town? I've got them. Plastic barbed type like shooting earplugs.     | ||
