Oh, I forgot to tell you guys......my acceptance into POT this weekend in Oak Brook was rejected due to full registration. And I even submitted my registration request before the final due date (although it was pretty close). Lesson learned = apply early. Too bad, because I was actually looking forward to the event. So it looks like I'll just have to go ride this weekend instead......NOT. This cold, wet weather is really making the Slimy Crud Run very questionable for me right now. We'll see..... |

Bad, As of our April meeting, only a few Windy City have committed to the entire Homecoming schedule. Many others have conflicts with work, kids graduation, money, etc. and plan to play it by ear, joining in whatever days/events their circumstances allow. I fit this latter group, and hope to at least make it to Road America for the races on Saturday. |

To all: Work issues will likely prevent me from attending tonights meeting, or at best I'll be very late. Sorry for the short notice, but the damned boss wins every time. |

Friends finale was awesome, had me in tears....... Actually, it's another late night for me at work again tonight. Can't wait to leave this week behind me, sometime works just plain sucks. How did the meeting go? Is Brunch Run still on for May 16? Have I been impeached? Thanks for running things last night (or did you stay home to watch Friends, too? ) |

Curt, We missed you at the meeting and at P-O-T. The meeting was good. I think 6 or 7 of us got our suspension adjusted. The raffle prizes were a T-Shirt, a couple of coffee mugs and two tickets to the Springfield (or was it Peoria) races. And the best of all, I won the 50/50! As far as the Brunch Run to Starved Rock, no one could remember if it was supposed to be the 16th or 23rd. Ray and Nancy, are we on for the 16th? |

Thank you Ray and Nancy for coordinating the Chapter Brunch Run this Sunday 5/16/04. As of today, the weather forecast for Sat/Sun is very low probability of rain, partly sunny, 77/55 hi-low temps. Sounds like great riding conditions to me. The ride is fun, the food is great and the club is paying for it. Hope to see everyone there! |

Count me in for two. Curt, did you have a route scouted out? Last year we talked about taking the Super Slab away from the city until we got close to S.R. and then taking the local twisties. Are we up for that this time? |

Regarding Brunch Run route, I still have route we ran last Fall and can produce photocopies and post here. I would love to run it again instead of the superslab, just because it's more entertaining and more of an "adventure". Run time from IL-HD to Starved Rock estimated at 2.5 to 3 hours via this route with minor stops, so proper departure time from IL-HD would be critical to meet 12:noon reservation a Starved Rock. It's certainly possible to run more than one group. One via superslab (leaves later from ?) and another via entertaining route (leaves earlier from IL-HD, next stop Countryside doughnut shop). That's my opinion, but that may not work for everyone. What do other people want to see? P.S Weather forecast for this weekend is really looking good. |
