I know they sold a few in the Czech Republic and Slovania(Formerly known as Czechoslovakia). Interesting story: I was shopping for a birthday card for my brother in the Hallmark shop and what should appear? You guessed it! A stunning red VR1000 complete with headlight and turn signals. I bought both cards! |

Hi guys, Not logged for for a year or 3 so I thought I'd come back and haunt ya.. If any of you happen to be in the south of England during the next week there's a few things happening locally. Buell dyno day at Dockgate-20 HD/B this Saturday (free doughnuts and coffe for the brave), Daisy Chain charity run on Sunday (4,000ish bikes - 2 mls from DG-20), Poole Quay Tuesday evening (2-3,000ish bikes) and Sammy Millar's Museum run next Sunday (leaving from DG-20 11am). Loads of rare and unique bikes in the museum for those interested. Bring your waterproofs as there's a guy down the road building an Arc.

If anyone happens to tape the motorcycle special on TV tonight and captures a picture of my pal Ultan during his interview, fire me off a copy. I am not above blackmail and he and I have din-din with some moto-types on 4-17. I am intent on making him dread doing the interview.

Dino - to late! I already saw 'em!!!! Didn't they look good. Court, care to tell exactly how many they sold in Poland? You wouldn't be adding to the myth now would you LOL. Thought not you naughty boy Gary_UK, this Sunday in a little Cheshire town, Northwich, they're running the annual Northwich Thundersprint The town centre is closed off to traffic so various classic, vintage and specials as well as modern bikes can negotiate four corners of the town in sprint fashion. Triumph British Supersport rider Craig Jones and MCN's editor Marc Potter will be thrashing the tits off an MV Brutale. Now that has to be more exciting than living in sunny California, right? Press releases are like legal briefs... All is not exactly as it seems. There are alot of resumes floating around with Woodstock postmarks. It would be great if MG was snapped up by Ducati. I really want to see the MGS-01 and the Grisso. |

Court, You talking about the one on Discovery? I'm watching it right now, too late to pop a tape in, can't even find a tape. Here's a tv schedule for the show I'm watching, Seven Wonders of Motorcycles. If that's not it, not sure which one you're talking about, this has been the only one I've seen. edited by SouthernMarine on May 06, 2004 |

They say the number one wonder of motorcycles is ............ Ducati 750SS, no that was number three, Number 7 was the Indian Chief, number 6 the V-Rod, number five the Chopper, Number four was the Honda 50cc, first one they came out with, number two is the dirtbike (Damn, they just showed Mike Metzger doing a FIRST TIME EVER DONE, back-flip-heel clicker, cool as hell), Oh yeah and NUMBER ONE IS ............ the Suzuki Hayabusa (500 lbs?, heavy ain't it?). They said it was the fastest sportbike, could have sworn they also said the V-Rod and the Hayabusa did 0-60 in about the same time, yeah the Hayabusa will do almost 200mph (who cares, except for the idiots who want to be scraped up off the road). David Edwards from Cycle World was on there and said it looks like we've seen the end of speed wars between the bikes (paraphrasing). Sure we have. Court, your buddy seemed happy to talk about all the bikes. edited by SouthernMarine on May 06, 2004 |

I guess they did the filming before Edwards knew about all the new literbikes (Honda-Suzuki-Yamaha-Kawasaki)And, the ZX-10R is faster than the Busa- yada yada. My old Buell is fast enough for me! |

Kinda wish Northwich was a bit closer but 500 miles in monsoon season Mmmm.. might stay on the southcoast (at least the rain is warmer) There's some weird beasts at Sammy's anyway that are always worth a look at including a 350 racing Harley and the only knelling Norton. Haven't figured out how to put pictures into posts again so you'll have to go to the site If you want more eye candy. http://motorcycle.com/mo/mcfrank/sammymuseum.html |

Court... Ever read one of those questions where a person seems to genuinely trying to convey something, and is obviously trying to communicate, but for the life of you trying to understand the question leaves you utterly bewildered? You want to help, but the question is just completely incoherent... So, you give a person a picture of a rabbit with a pancake on their head. It's as good as anything else you could do for them, based on what you can understand regarding the question they are asking. Took me a second to get it, but when I did it was the funniest thing I have seen in a long time.... |

Gus, I offered possible cross country transport. No response from Jim yet, he probably has to contact the seller and then wait for the auction to end. |

Ferris, I didn't know Cali was close to Northwich Oh yeah mate, don't think I've forgot about the chip thing because I haven't! It will, knowing myself like I do, take sometime to sort out the return post but I can assure you it's worth the wait. There are a few here I owe a little something to. Just a little gratitude for favours sent my way, some from months back and given time ye shall receive, one and all. Gary, for a moment there I thought you were referring to Al Melling's Nemisis. Never mind. I missed that one at the N.E.C a few years ago. One day! Rocket |
