Only the tastiest twisties around! Man, I have to say this last weekend was one of the funnest I've ever had on my bike, and that stretch of Dry Creek Road was one of the highlights. Thanks again Ferris, and show that "Ho" the best! Timbo |

Timbo, great pics...got more? Wow, that shot of the valley from the overlook is absolutely outstanding! It's almost embarrassing to think that that scene is on an easy day loop from our place in Mariposa. (But I'll try to get by!) I've seen that view many times, but I don't know that I've ever seen a better photo of it...well, maybe "Clearing Winter Storm" by Ansel Adams, but then he had a clearing winter storm to work with...which makes for a great photo opportunity, but very poor motorcycle riding conditions. Ebear - My, our, thoughts are with you concerning the loss of your sister. I look forward to seeing and riding with you again soon. Dino |

Dino, you did a great job showing us the lay of the land my friend. THANKS!} Firstly, Timbo my friend, the pleasure was all mine. Secondly, I'm still kicking myself for not linking up with you guys again on Saturday for some more recon work! Actually, it was worth the price of admission just to hear Jim_SB doing the post-ride debriefing to the enthralled crowd at the Bug. Ferris really missed out, he'd of enjoyed the Hell outta that show! Thanks for the additional pics! BTW, is Ferris really that short, or is that just a matter distorted perspective resulting from the wide-angle lens. Hmmm, must be the lens. Good thing he's such a good friend or I'd rib him about that! Dino |

listen, you old grayhair (don't make me tell what "Dino" is short for...), as long as my feet still reach the ground i'm good to go. btw, this is only my second ride with Jim_SB, but i know for a fact that if he was tellin' stories at the Bug, i sure wish i'd been there. |

as long as my feet still reach the ground i'm good to go. My thoughts exactly. I've always just been damn happy I don't have to try and fold 38" inseams onto a sport bike...or any other bike, or car for that matter. |

Oh man, I hope you guys realize just how GOOD you have it out there in California! Thanks for sharing, the valley looks incredible. Ferris, good to see you kept the S1 and say something nice to Bartimus for me. best, Lornce |

Lornce, i moved here from wet 'n wild Washington 5-1/2 years ago, and haven't regretted a second of it. not only is the weather almost always good, the number and variety of sportbike-worthy roads in this state are simply amazing. the short answer is: yes, we know how good we have it. Bad Billy Bartimus will be back here tomorrow evening, and Friday we're doing an all-day lap of Ferrisville. i'll tell him you said howdy. thanks re: the Thong, it's a rolling block party! ride to lean, FB |

Did a photo shoot last night for nwmotorcycling.com at one of their get together they have every Sunday in Vancouver, WA. Here are a few shots from the night. Notice the gentleman in the Buell shirt, he is very happy! Jim is the Buell tech for Columbia Motorcycle and the lovely lady was our bartender for the night.

I guess this picture qualifies as "Action/Adventure". It's a picture of me taken at the Mid-Atlantic Ducati club event at VIR's north course on June 21st. I rode my Buell and RC-51 for two days and had a blast. My next event will be on July 17-18 with NESBA on the Patriot course at VIR. It's 1.1 miles of twists and turns and should be perfect for the Buell. Come on out and join me! |

Dyno operated under the Buell top. Really great staff, shown here running a race bike through the paces. |

Took a ride this afternoon... It was rather overcast and the mountains had a dreamy look about them. At first I thought these fisherman were rude because they didn't wave back at me... On closer inspection I see why they didn't wave... I stopped to take the first of several shots of the Buell on Highway 123 between Lurton and Mount Judea [Mount Judy to the locals]...

Arkansas Highway 123 between Lurton and Mount Judea shows up as an unpaved road on all but the most recent road maps. Some of the best riding in the state is on this road, IMO. There are a few small potholes though... Even though the CityX is equipped with a larger front fork, Pirelli Tires, hand guards and a headlight grill I thought it best to go around this one... With that obstacle overcome, I headed north and enjoyed some nice twisties...

More fun on Highway 123 [I hope everyone appreciates that I stopped frequently in order to share these photos rather than blasting through as my instinct dictated]... I took a slight detour east on Highway 74, but turned around when I ran out of state maintained pavement [another bike and forum for that kind of adventure]...

Back on 123, now north of Mount Judea. These bluffs are near the intersection of 123 and 374. There is a nice creek running along side the road in this area... Turning west on 374, I find this and think it would make a nice backdrop for yet another Buell photo... Seems like there should be a Buells Only sign here...

After refuelling and taking a break at Jasper, I head west on Highway 74 toward Ponca, where I pass the local "tree of woe"... A bit further on, I see how someone has put an old wedding dress to good use... With no shoulder and tight turns, it was just too dangerous for me to stop and photograph the bluffs along the Buffalo River as I rode down the mountain into Ponca. I was able to stop on the bridge and get one shot though... After a short break at Ponca, I headed for home. I stopped a took one last picture in Boxley Valley... As you can see, the CityX is at home in the country as well. |

I'd like to see it. You might want to check out photo and video hosting on www.smugmug.com . I use it for photo hosting and it seems pretty reasonable. The guy that runs it also runs a pretty cool motorcycle forum www.advrider.com oriented toward dual sport and adventure touring. |
