I couldn't live with the stock ecm, the deal with it giving throttle as you let out the clutch thing was the worst and I also was looking for a little more drivability. I was hoping to wait for Al's shootout results but I wanted a plug n' play ecm and I don't think this ECM was available in time for the shootout. After seeing the ECM for the FMF pipe on Erik Buell Racing I just ordered it along with the FMF from Motorcycle Superstore, coupon thing for $5 off plus free 3 day shipping brought the price to $390 along with the $258 for the Erik Buell Racing ECM and I have a total of $648 for both. The pipe is here today, the ECM tomorrow. I really like D Adams pipes but with twins starting collage in the Fall this is the most $ I could spend without sleeping in the doghouse, at that price I can still sleep in the garage. I will post some pics of the install and riding impressions soon. | ||

Post up what you think of that set up. I didn't know they had an ECM programmed for the FMF slip on. That's all I plan on putting on the bike that will effect the a/f ratio and I was contemplating going with the PCV w/ auto tune but this is much cheaper. If it runs well this may justify the cost difference. Keep us posted. | ||

i have the fmf and race ecm, bought it b4 it was specifically set for fmf exhaust, but all i can say is you will dig it!...also i suggest you have the idle set for 1250, as with that set up, its not loud at idle, but does sound and respond great. (Message edited by reducati on May 26, 2010) | ||

Mr T, You ordered an FMF from Motorcycle Superstore and you already have it? I ordered mine 3 months ago...and it is STILL not here (Oklahoma). I think they forgot about my order or something. | ||

Dtx - move fast and cancel the order. The exhaust shootout results are coming in. The cancellation may make them ship sooner. either way it will be better to one degree or another. :-) | ||

Just got off the phone with them. They had to cancel my order because they were on Backorder for so long. All is good now. Does the FMF come with the quiet insert still? |
