thanks to those that helped troubleshoot my LCD display of "system voltage"

It appears problem solved with a voltage regulator!!!! 150niles and counting!

Thought it might be nice to have follow up for the next guy that does a search for this topic

Im getting that same problem as well. it seems that when my bike is not under any load (no headlights on, no fans running) the bike will charge up to 14 volts. but when the fans kick on or even when i just turn the low beams on the volts drop to 13...then to 12. then the battery light comes on and even the CEL SYSTEM VOLTAGE. was this something that happend to you?

regulator was the ticket for me as well justin that was pretty much the same thing i had. under no load the voltage was there but the regulator wouldn't pass the amperage along so it would kill the battery. also i noted that when it was sitting for more than a day or so it would need a boost/charge to get running.
