Well , had fun did not crash and got a 4 th and 2. 6th and was about a 1.5 sec off my best time I guess not bad for being off a race bike for a year. I hooked again. | ||

congratulations Keith! it was good to meet you and your wife. i had a difficult weekend with bike issues, fatigue and trying to learn a new to me technical, physical track. 1 crash in practice in my 2nd session of the practice day,(missed the whole morning session completely dealing with fan issues on my newly installed 2010 motor). ran mediocre on saturday finishing 10th in gto and 6th in supertwins. bike didn't seem to hook up on acceleration.(clutch slip) Joel Spalding rode it sunday in practice and the clutch was worse so we replaced the plates and i missed hvwt supersport, finishing reassembly while the racers took the white flag. Joel started the team challenge but pulled in after a couple of laps with clutch slip again.(i must not have got the slipper stack up installed correctly) i had him go back out and try to do the most laps as possible and he was able to keep it going. i went out for my stint and i don't know how Joel was able to make the lap times he was making as that clutch was wacked! i limped it to the checker flag and somehow we managed to place 3rd in GTO! we finished 1 lap ahead of the 4th place team. we were 7th overall. i skipped hvwt superbike and started packing for the drive home. 2 flats on the trailer on the way home. thanks Michael Buffington for the emergency access to the trailer and the extra spare! Michael Richter of Erik Buell Racing has sent me the parts to fix the clutch issue and next weekend is Road Atlanta. i hope to do a lot better. tim | ||

No problem Tim, happy to help. Wish I could have be at VIR but then I wouldn't have been home to help out at 3:00am, lol! You had a long weekend, at least I'll be helping you drive to Road America. That's a drive.... See you at Road Atlanta this weekend for the Wera Southeast round | ||
