Do you know of a good independent Buell mechanic in San Diego area? I am looking to get someone to look at my bike since it is making a hissing kind of noise when I open the throttle. That sound wasn't there before and it's coming form the head area of the motor. (My GF notices the sound when we're riding now so it's not all in my head!) It almost sounds like an exhaust leak, but the noise isn't a loud, open exhaust noise, but more of a hissing noise. Anyhow, I was hoping to find an independent a Buell Mechanic to help me to figure it out. The HD guys are OK, but they charge a little more than I am hoping to spend at this time. Thanks! I did find a new Independent mechanic for Buell/HD in San Diego. It's called Torx Motorsports. It is in Point Loma where the HD Rental was located. (Just off of the 8 freeway and Rosecrans.) Found them in a Craigslist Ad. http://sandiego.craigslist.org/csd/mcy/1763457202. html Their hourly prices are a ton less than the local HD dealership. I'll be taking my Uly there to help me with this crazy exhaust leak. I'll let you all know how it turns out. | ||

Hey - I take my Lightning and Uly both to Moreland Choppers in Solana Beach. They are cool there, and the head mechanic rides a Firebolt, too!.
