Like the title says, I'm getting ready to order the 2010 OEM LED tail light. I haven't really looked into the switch but I think I remember hearing that all you need to do is get 2 basic bullet connectors for the wiring and everything else is straight forward. Is there anything else I need other than the tail light? I should have some connectors laying around, if not it won't be a problem to run to the hardware store. |

Three spade connectors, male side. Cut the connector off the LED light. Crimp a spade on each wire. Unplug and remove your stock light. Don't touch the bike harness as far as cutting, etc. Just unplug it. Look at the wiring - IIRC, the colors match (I want to say the LED is black/ground, white/run, and red/brake) from harness to new light. Put the spade for each wire into its slot in the bike connector. Test the functions. I zip-tied the bike connector (it's a pretty big piece of plastic) to the subframe to keep it from bouncing around. Install the new light. Done |

Craig, I'll be ordering it from American Sport Bike shortly but thanks for the info. It'll be nice to get connectors with it. Rat, Thanks for the quick how to. Sounds easy enough! |

I ordered from American Sport Bike and I didn't get the connectors with it. I just paid like $0.05 at the hardware store for 1/4" male connectors. And yes the wires are all color coated. |

Ridegreen. I know he customizes them to fit the 09's maybe he is getting swamped with people purchasing them and cant swap the connections anymore. Not sure. I was one of the lucky one's I got mine back in November already setup with the spade connections. |
