I bought one of those high powered locomotive horns from Aerostitch. it only has one mounting hole. I'm trying to find a good place to mount it. The only place i found is on the left side section of the V-bracket above the primary. any one else tried one of these? |

Is it this one? If so, search STEBEL, you'll find lots of posts. Most people mount it behind the flyscreen. Just remove the factory horn, and zip tie it in there. You WILL want to run a relay, so you'll need to run a new wire from the positive battery terminal, through a 15 amp fuse, then up to the flyscreen. |

I made a bracket
I have an '06, I used a relay and took power off the 12v dash socket and put a 25A fuse in that circuit. Ground comes from the factory horn ground which is small gauge but very short so it can pass plenty of amps. I'll get a hot wire up to the battery someday. |
